If you fancy learning to paper cut why not come along to one of my beginners paper cutting workshops at MAKE in Portsmouth?
The session begins with an introduction to the mindful art of paper cutting as I teach you to paper cut the different techniques on a beginners template sheet so that you feel comfortable with a scalpel.
My venue MAKE was nominated in the category of 'local food hero' in The Guardian Food Awards in 2019 , which is why after a break of tea and home made scones-with jam and cream-from the cafe, you will spend the rest of the session cutting a template of your choice. You can pick your template by scrolling through the images and choosing a letter between A to I which you can specify underneath your contact information. You don't need to have any drawing skills to attend this workshop, so you can just relax into learning a new craft.
All equipment and refreshments -tea/coffee/water and scones with jam and cream will be served boxed- are provided for the duration of the session so you don't need to bring anything but yourself, a mask -and a pair of glasses if you need them! Please note this is a self paced workshop-easy templates mean you should finish it in the session, but mid-hard and hard you will need to be a bit quicker.
I am hopeful that this introduction will then give you the confidence to go home with the knowledge of the basic materials and to keep having a go, but to carry on the momentum you will also be granted access to the exclusive 'Beginners Papercutters' FB group which shares tips and inspiration from 500 + other people who have attended one of courses in Portsmouth, Godalming and Bath.
